Indian cricket players are currently busy playing the long and tiring Indian Premier League that extends for months. and after that they have INDIA vs AUSTRALIA Test series.

India has requested for a delay in 2nd Test after the Boxing day Test match. They want an extended break before the New Year’s Test at SCG.

This also means that the INDvAUS series will likely finish around 19th-20th January if delayed which will be an overlap with Big Bash league and Australian Open.

Virat Kohli who is married to Anushka Sharma (A Bollywood Star), has expressed his concerns about the dates of Test. Virat and Anushka already announced it a month before however, there was no fixed date given.

This whole delay request has opened up a debate and the Aussie legendary Ex-Cricketer and commentator Allan Border has shown his concerns. He believes that there should be no negotiations. He said:

Border also said that Team India is willing to come to Australia and play and we all want to watch the games being played, which is the main thing. So however, in case of when and where the games are to be played, he does not think that an inch should be given at all.

Border also pointed out that India thinks of themselves as all powerful and he admitted that in terms of financial terms they indeed are. however, Australia should not bow down to the pressure and should not change the schedule and stick to the traditional dates.

Allan Border also expressed that If Australia was in India’s shoes they would have simply continued with the proposed dates and played the cricket matches as planned by the hosts.
