
South African veteran Wicket-keeper Batsman AB de Villiers is being part of the cricketing news for a month or so. de Villiers in his recent interviews, show his interest to make a comeback to the international side in the upcoming T20 world cup. In IPL 2021, AB played some mind-blowing innings for Royal Challengers Bangalore including a match-winning 76 not out off just 34 deliveries against Kolkata Knight Riders. de Villiers Keen To Make His International Return During IPL 2021
Legendary South African batsman showed his class and form with the bat again in the IPL 2021. Regarding his great form, AB was looking up to his International return for the upcoming T20 world cup. In an Interview during IPL 2021, de Villiers said that if he can slot in, it will be fantastic. AB also added that he is interested, with regards to his form, his fitness, they have to get the best 15 together, they will plan accordingly. de Villiers said that he would talk to Boucher towards the end of IPL.
Why AB turned down South Africa’s return?
Coach of the International South African side Mark Boucher explains why de Villiers decided to stay retired from international cricket. Mark Boucher said that “AB has his reasons, which he respects.” Boucher further added that Unfortunately, AB is no longer in the mix. The coach said that unfortunately because he thinks they all agree that AB is still one of the best, if not the best, surely the best T20 players in world cricket. But AB alluded to being concerned about coming in ahead of other players who have been a part of the system. Mark Boucher said he doesn’t think it sat well with AB, which he understands.
