Australia has beaten the New Zealand Women’s team by 3-0 in the ODI series. This means that Aussie women’s cricket team has now equaled Ricky Pointing men’s team record of winning most number of matches in a row.
Australian Women’s team has achieved this remarkable milestone in excess of two years of sheer brilliance. This journey started in March of year 2018. This also means that Team Australia has not lost an ODI match since Oct-2017.
Australian women cricket achieved this high in Brisbane while playing against the New Zealand women’s team, defeating them with a huge margin of 232 runs.
Perhaps what’s more significant is that Australian team did not have Ellyse Perry (Their top player) in the whole series against NZ. The centurion Meg Lanning was also not playing the last ODI against NZ due to injury. Winning the final match against NZ without their seasoned players shows the depth and confidence Aussie team enjoys, and also their bench strength which outperformed the opponents by such a huge margin.
Australian Women’s Team has beaten all good teams and there were able to do this by whitewashing five different teams in seven different ODI series.
