Player Stats
Josh Hazlewood
A country boy from Tamworth, Hazlewood became the youngest ever fast-bowler to represent New South Wales in 2008, aged just 17. An international debut followed in 2010, aged 19, when he took on England in an ODI in Southampton, becoming the youngest Australian player at that level. Often compared to his idol Glenn McGrath, Hazlewood was man-of-the-match in the final of Australia’s successful campaign at the Under-19 World Cup in New Zealand. A well-built right-armer who gets plenty of bounce out of his 196cm frame, Hazlewood shone in the 2017-18 Ashes campaign on home soil as Australia regained the urn after five years, securing his spot in a fearsome Test pace bowling attack alongside Pat Cummins and Mitchell Starc.
Hazlewood was only 17 when he first represented NSW in 2008, making him the youngest ever fast-bowler to play for the state.
