Making a name for herself as a Twenty20 bowler, Sarah Coyte has been a key contributor for the Commonwealth Bank Southern Stars across all formats since making her debut in 2010. Coyte burst onto the international scene with 2-18 off four overs in her first T20I to play a pivotal role in the side’s four-wicket victory over New Zealand. A handy all-rounder, Coyte bowls medium-pace swing and is a valuable lower-order batter. The Camden, NSW product narrowly missed out on selection in the 2014 ICC World T20 Team of the Tournament despite finishing as the tournament’s third-highest wicket-taker and claiming three scalps in the final. Following on from her success at the World T20, Coyte claimed 13 wickets at an average of 12.31 against Pakistan on home soil in 2014 and currently sits fourth on the ICC Twenty20 bowlers rankings. After helping the Southern Stars win back the Ashes in England in 2015, Coyte made the moved to South Australia for the 2015-16 WNCL season, signing with the Adelaide Strikers at the same time.
Sarah Coyte's older brother Scott has played for NSW and Sydney Thunder while her twin brother Adam was part of the Thunder squad in BBL|02 and represented Australia at the U/19 level.
