Thomas Curran
Cricket is in Tom Curran’s veins. The South African-born Englishman is the son of former Zimbabwe representative Kevin Curran and has two brothers also on the Country Cricket scene. The eldest of the trio had a sterling season for Surrey in 2015 as they won promotion back to Division One of the Championship. He took 76 wickets in Division Two and received several young player-of-the-season awards. In June 2017, after consistent form in limited-overs cricket, Curran received his T20I debut for England against South Africa and took 3-33 from his four overs. An ODI nod soon followed, and by December of the same year, Curran was headlining the English bowling attack in the 2017 Boxing Day Test. After a breakout tour of Australia, Curran’s progression stalled due to injury and form concerns in 2018. He returned to the scene of his debut series in 2018-19 however and played a starring role with the Sydney Sixers in the KFC Big Bash League.
Curran's first ever Test wicket belonged to Australia's Steve Smith.
