RCB leading the IPL Points Table after conquering Sunrisers.

Sunrisers Hyderabad Vs Royal Challengers Bangalore SRH V RCB, Live Cricket Streaming

It was yet another crunch game of cricket in IPL 2021. Where the stats and previous records have been defied by the actual outcome of the match. Sunrisers had played 17 games against the Royal Challengers before today’s game and had won 10 out of those 18 matches. RCB had only won 7 times and one match had no result. This indicated that Sunrisers Hyderabad were the favorites for tonight’s IPL match but the result will shock you.

RCB was put into bat first by Sunrisers and RCB captain Virat Kohli came out to bat with D Padikkal at the other end. It was a watchful start by the Royal Challengers Bangalore. Padikkal departed early after facing 13 balls for his 11 runs. S Ahmed also also picked up by Shahbaz Nadeem. But then Glenn Maxwell came out to bat at number four and looked in good form. He played a watchful innings alongside skipper Virat and posted 59 runs, highest score from a RCB batsmen in the match. Virat Played a good knock of 33 runs on just 29 balls under trying conditions. There was nothing much from the lower middle order or the tail and the Royal Challengers Bangalore finished their innings on 149 runs, Which was a below par score on this ground. Sunrisers bowled well to contain the star studded batting lineup of RCB with in 150. Jason Holder was the pick of the bowlers and took three wickets for his team. Holder gave away 30 runs in his 4 overs. Sunrisers came out to bat and immediately lost Wriddhiman Saha. Saha never looked in control and his misery was put to an end after he faced 9 balls for his one run. David Warner on the other end was batting brilliantly and added 54 runs on just 37 balls. M Pandey played alongside skipper and scored 38 runs however, it was a slow innings which later costed the Sunrisers at the end. Pandey and J Bairstow both were picked up by Shahbaz Ahmed. There was no substantial contribution from anyone else from the lower middle order. Rashid Khan was the only batsmen to get 17 runs which were not enough in the end. S Ahmed took three wickets whereas H Patel took 2 wickets, and Muhammad Siraj took two wickets. It was a comprehensive bowling performance by the Royal Challengers Bangalore. SunRisers fell short of just 6 runs in the end. Two wickets in the last over by H Patel sealed the deal for Royal Challengers.

It was the second victory of Royal Challengers Bangalore in a row. First win was against Mumbai Indians and now the second win against the Sunrisers Hyderabad. This means that RCB now leads the IPL Points Table with four points.
