RCB Turn around in IPL2020

Indian Premier League is the most popular and the biggest T20 League which has now become more of an International Cricket festival. IPL2020 was scheduled to be played in India as usual however, due to pandemic issue, IPL is organized outside of India (U.A.E).

Virat Kohi who is also the captain of Indian cricket team was appointed as captain for RCB in year 2013. He took over the captaincy from Daniel Vettori who captained RCB for two seasons. Since then Virat has been the Captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore.

Virat is often criticized for his captaincy in IPL as the Team as failed to reach the playoffs stage in 5 seasons out of 7 when Virat captained RCB. RCB performance has every further degraded in the last three season but this season RCB is hoping for a turn around and the start is very promising.

Promising Start by RCB to IPL2020

RCB was no way near to the usual favorites in the pre tournament analysis. No one expected any change in RCB’s performance. But in their inaugural match against the SRH RCB clinched the win by 10 runs. The confidence form the win in a nail biter soon shattered when RCB lost their second match to Punjab Kings XI by getting out on a total of just 109 runs. Virat’s performance came under a lot criticism; as a player and as a captain as well.

RCB has won 3 out of 4 matches they have played so far. RCB only lost to KXIP and has won against SRH, MI and RR. RCB is currently in top three. They may lead the points table after their 5th match against DC
